Remembering Owen Page

The Bike Walk Greenville Board of Directors was shocked and saddened to hear of the death of Owen Page on Monday October 16, 2017 at the age of 60.

Owen Page

When we were forming Bike Walk Greenville in 2013 we reached out to friends at Erwin Penland to find a board member, as we strategically needed a creative person from a downtown bicycle friendly business.  We were introduced to Owen who agreed to join the board and Owen subsequently served as the Board Chair for the years 2015-2016.

Also pictured are Eleanor Dunlap and Frank Mansbach wearing the “Think Outside the Car,” T-Shirts that Owen designed.  The award-winning video that Owen produced for Bike Walk Greenville in 2014 was shown on the big screen at the Camelot Theater to start this event.  The video was created to help explain that our children are getting obese because we don’t have sidewalks and bike lanes leading to our schools.

Owen’s presence continues in so many ways through Bike Walk Greenville. He also led the development of our logo. So shocked and saddened by the news of his loss this week.
